Map & Places

The Map view puts an address book on a world map. Every contact with a location appears as a marker, and nearby contacts cluster together as you zoom out — so "who do we know in Lisbon?" is a glance, not a search.

Using the map​

  • Open the Map view on any address book.
  • Click a marker (or a cluster) to see the contacts there and jump into a contact's card.
  • Search for a place to fly the map to it.

Places on contacts​

A place is a geographic location attached to a contact — home, office, or any address that matters. To set one, open a contact from the map view (or their details pane) and assign a place using the place search.

Places do double duty:

  • they position the contact on the map, and
  • they put the contact on the right timeline in Timespace, since a place carries its time zone.

Keep places up to date and both views stay accurate on their own.
